The 105mm guns won’t destroy AI, buildings, FRUs, or anything not directly manned by a player outside of direct visual sight rendering inderect fire useless.
The recoil on the 105mm shouldn’t exist for either side. The buffer system built into it absorbed all of the recoil eliminating the need to constantly adjust fire.
The interaction with terrain causes it to become unstabe at times. (This should become a fixed level position when deployed per the Principles and Operations video in #2). Compounded with the recoil, high angles of fire will result in a pogo stick effect until the gun either falls through the world or takes flight. (Most readily replicated by firing on ackward terrain)
Not to mention the blast radius is a joke.

I noticed same thing happens with DD rounds, they dont interact with the enviroment when the DD cannot see the town

Really hope this gets some response from the devs because i love using arty and it just doesnt pack the punch it should

We are looking into buildings and distance for colliders. I have asked about Sto and distance but have not recieved an answer yet.

You can destroy buildings, AI, etc. from point blank range to about 2,400m-2,500m max, but once the projectile becomes a STO it can’t destroy any fixed position or building.
DD no are STO any more; 50mm, 81mm, 105mm and Bombs should all be STO – and destroy regardless of sight, as I under stand; but not sure the range on all of them
105mm howitzer definatley doesn’t destroy CP’s, depots, AI, or buildings at range. Range meaning 2,500-11,000m. I’ve shot thousands of rounds on the test server and live server from frontline towns. If I drive the howitzer to a frontline town and take point blank shots, everything will be destoyed usually with one shot depending on structure. Not working as intended IMO.
STO are long range for players only. Terrain is limited to render range. To extend that range farther would currently be too big of a hit on FPS.
But, does the arty and 81mm destroy terrain if inside 6k? like DD?
Also, you can’t destroy anyting in backline towns; just frontline
