Description:
In 1.37.8.0 if an infantry player aims while crouched at a said window it’s possible to make the model ‘ghost’ instead of displaying the properly rendered model (is this a feature or a bug?, please see screenshot). This is contrary to the expected behaviour where the model should be fully rendered from any angle.
This can be a little tricky to replicate but I reproduced it 2/3 times.
STR:
1) boot game
2) create a mission and spawn at a given town - I chose schilde.
3) crouch and aim while clipping against a window.
4) Notice that the model will change from it’s fully rendered look to one where the gun is translucent.
Extra: reproducibility 2/3 times. screenshot attatched.

Pvtpetey, I don’t see the attached file. Just me?

@Dan McAfee theres a bug with the bug reporter. I submitted the bug report with a screenshot twice and it didn’t show.

test

Bug reporter seems to work ok. Large files like screenshots won’t preview but converting them to jpeg does

see below

Need your computer specs. Nvidia or amd/ati vid card?

Wow, I’ve never seen that. The sight enclosure should be translucent for everyone though and not block 1/3 of the screen.

@Oldzeke can I email you my dxdiag?

You can oldzeke@corneredrats.com but mainly wondering if you have nvidia or amd/ati vid card

nvidia 4080

OK, I have a nvidia 3060 and no issue. IDK

I don’t think its a graphics driver related problem. theres a bit of a nack to it but you have to go next to a window and try to clip the window from that angle

@Pvtpete Is this still an issue? We’re unable to reproduce.

Can’t reproduce. It might be building specific.
