JOYSTICK ISSUE - NEW PLAYER#645

I’m trying to configure my Thrustmaster War Thog, I can map Throttle and Rudders buttons but my HOTAS doesn’t see to be recognize
Nothing happens when I press a button

i have the popup asking to move my axis but when I do nothing happens
only my throttle and rudder pedals work
my hotas doesn’t seem to be recognized

it’s functionnal in Windows and other games
clicked on detect controlers

it displays 4 Joystick no matter if its plugged or not

I tried to change this to set my joystick as preferred device. Now it works but the rudders don’t

Windows does detect rudders
I mean at worse I can probably live without pedals and use keyboard instead as soon as I got my throttle andd joystick working 😅
It’s like the game can only handle 2 devices out of 3

CRS needs to fix this problem
Its been like this for more then a decade.
* All the sticks work perfectly in windows and custom software, calibration tools and other games. It just breaks as soon as ww2ol tries to use them. **

Jotting down my experience today while replacing my ch pedals with the vkb t-pedals… My set up is a VKB NXT Gladiator (Controller 1 ingame), X52 Throttle (Controller2) and then the CH Pedals (Controller 3). I plugged in the VKB T-pedals to a powered USB hub without unplugging anything and the game recognized it as Controller 4 (I could map a key to the axis.) I then unplugged my CH Pedals and then moved the VKB pedals to where the CH pedals were plugged in. Pedals were no longer recognized in game. Moved pedals back to the USB HUB, but to a different port, game still did not recognize it. Finally, moved the pedals back to the port I originally plugged them into on the USB HUB, the game now recognizes it as Controller 3 which suffices for me. Just adding notes here for the devs.

Hello, I’m grass who initially have this issue.
Here’s my full gear:

• Thrustmaster TFRP
• Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS Joystick
• Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS Throttle

To sum it up, when I plug all 3 devices, 1 of them is not detected by the game. Initially it was the Joystick which was not detected. As a workaround, I did this:

• Press “CTRL+R”
• Type “joy.cpl”
• Click “Advanced …”
• In the “Preferred device” drop down list, I select “Joystick - HOTAS Warthog”

This way, my Joystick at least is always detected but my rudder pedals are not.
My throttle seem to always be detected no matter what.
