One of the two, if not both. See video. I replicated this shot in 3 shots and less than 2 minutes time spend on training server. Obviously - should never be happening here other than a 1 in 100 shot.

JS thought i posted in AEF Discord that i found that point was a driver view port weak point, circa 40mm, i cant see your discord anymore so can see what i found and said when you posted that a while back.
If this source is reliable, that spot was vulnerable, from 100m away, to pak36 with rounds pzgr. 39 and 40, both with a penetration of about 64mm from that distance. Now, the pak36 in game doesn’t have that kind of rounds, but this just wrote was just to say that the Matilda, at those specified points, should be more vulnerable, however always absolutely a tough opponent for the panzers - tier 0/1 . Moreover, especially at the beginning of the war, there were several shot-traps (even on heavy tanks like the Char) and few studies regarding them and where there were driver hatches, mg etc., were usually considered weak points.

@vongters the “Panzerbeschusstafel” issued by 2.2.1942 are based on calculations or estimations, not field tests or reports. Therefore, all anti-tank leaflets issued by then are voided per 15.12.1942, and revised by 15.3.1943.

I still think this slot in front of the driver thats being hit in the video is not uniform to rest of the front (75mm), i’m trying to find data to back that thinking up, so far the only way i can messure that thickess is to use a line and then apply it to the gun internal size as i know that should be 40mm, if you do that that block looks to be around 40-50mm see 2nd picture where i have drawn a line on the lower thickness on the hatch then moved the line to the gun.

Hope you guys appreciate this - Would say it maybe a bug the driver visor if closed starts at 40mm and gets thicker as it goes down to 75mm

Wait whats going on those pics did you go to a museum?.
Just further to this the area behind that visor is 40mm thick, so if you want it to be correct you would have to go 40mm + 75mm or 40m+ 40m, i don’t know how granular you can go and if you can grade down from thin to thicker.
