Using 64-bit win. 11 I tried disabling all settings like antialiasing, sync, etc. from the Nvidia control panel without getting any improvement. Later, following the online guides, I tried other solutions, such as changing the screen’s MHz (msi mag 322cqr) disabling anti-motion blur, etc., but nothing worked.
I only have problems with WWII online, this have never occurred to me with other games. Of course I have all the drivers updated, even the USB ones, window updates etc

I’ve not got a good answer. My rig is win 11 with a nvidia 3060ti vid card as well. This is what I see ingame

Does it only happen when using tank binoculars/high zoom optics?

I’d say it only happens with zooms, but I can’t tell you for sure right now since I’m not home. However, some time ago I read that many people had this problem with my monitor and solved it by replacing the display port cable with a newer, higher-performance one. So I just bought one, it’s coming tomorrow and I’ll tell you that something will change…

I confirm that the bug only occurs with the commander’s zoom, or infantry binoculars, etc. I’ll check tomorrow if the cable finally fixes it

I get what you have as well Von, it just got use to it and ignore it, there is thread in the forums about it. https://forums.wwiionline.com/topic/428129-guide-to-massively-improved-visuals-for-nvidia-users/

Ok, so this? Seems if zoom in is tighter than 15° FOV I get it starting to be noticable. For reference I think the flak36/88 commanders binos are 7° FOV. Not sure if it’s a vid card setting or shader change issue.

Yes, that’s it, but I’m having the same problem with the infantry binoculars. Reading online, this usually happens often on Unreal Engine 5, but there could be multiple causes, such as some settings on the screen, the graphics card, or the DPI or HDMI cable. It’s not easy to fix. As I said before, I’ve already tried various solutions to no avail. When I get the cable tomorrow, I’ll do some more testing also because it’s really annoying.
Side note PS: Have you fixed (or are you fixing) audio issues with pz38t, HT etc.? If you want I can send you how i hear them (and I’m not the only one) in the game… or w can do some tests togheter.

Give a quick description of what the issue is here or if there is a bug report here pleae bump it up

similar flicker issue from 2022 was mostly when zoomed and moving camera but higher zoom would cause more flicker

Changing the cable didn’t solve the problem. In detail, I can tell you that every time I zoom, or over a vehicle, tank, or infantry, the more I zoom in, the more those very annoying graphical flaws increase. My impression is that these also increase with increasing distance, which also includes problems with the polygons, for example when I look at petrol tanks.

🤦 I don’t know why we suggest things like switching cables. If the monitor is not experiencing global issues, the cable won’t do anything. I have the same visual anomalies, when using binocs mostly. For probably the entire time I have played (2021?) but it is more apparent lately, and just prior to the shader implementation. I just chalked it up to OpenGL issues that may be on a software level due to the game engine? The Gpus I have used since include:
Rx580
Rx6400
Rx5500xt
1050ti
1060 desktop and laptop
3060 laptop
780ti
980ti
1650
1660
1660ti
1070
1070ti
1080
1080ti
2060
2070super

And my primary GPUs have been:
Laptop 3060
4070
4070ti super
5070

I know….
A silly habit of trying older GPUs for giggles.

I had the same issues before the Shader changes also and I use a GTX1070 . Looking into it but I don’t think it’s due to a recent change.

I just finished 2 hours of testing. I tried changing every setting both on the screen and from the Nvidia control panel. Nothing has changed. At this point I give up, I don’t know what else to do but I also think it depends on the game since I’ve never encountered this problem elsewhere. If it helps, I’ll publish my current, complete hardware configuration.

Hatch and I did a couple of hours testing this and it appears to be the way our zoom works . We doubt it is a simple fix without the use of a coder but we are narrowing down the cause. We shall keep you informed as we make progress.
