This happens on various types of terrain. Furthermore, the Panther and Tiger are much less stable off-road than the Shermans and others, when it should actually be the exact opposite.

https://wwiionline.nolt.io/715 already raised it but videos should help people see the issue.
I can’t see the video or pics so I don’t know what they demonstrate. As far as general performance over varied terrain, they are all acting as expected in the difference between movement on roads vs. the various “off-road” terrain textures. As far as stability one vs the other, I dont see anything wrong in general. That doesn’t mean one view or position is worse than another, or even might be marginally opposite what one would assume. It just means that we have hundreds of vehicles, many that have not been touched in over a decade as far as that specific modelling is concerned, you are testing them against newer models done by a new “modeler” that might have a different standards (assumed to be more accurate/better), a) I myself am not seeing a significant difference (feel free to repost specific vids) and b) am curious the difference in ROI when none of these have any stabilization and cant shoot accurately on the move anyway?
In any case, with the exception of a specifically demonstrable game breaking issue to fix an issue in something that has been in use for over a decade, It isn’t economically feasible to task someone to go re-evaluate and rebuild them all as it would stop everything else for the duration of that task. But I hope those following recognize that besides the new vehicles being introduced, there is an ongoing task we ARE presently following, going back through the older vehicles and bringing the models both art and physics up to current standards starting with the oldest in the first tiers. So they ARE all in line for review as we can update them. The next three re-builds to be released are the A-13, Pnzr 38T, and R-35 (scheduled for 1.38.5. tex64 will post about them soon™/when they hit alpha), with three new armored scout cars I am not at liberty to elaborate on following closely behind.
Leaving aside for a moment the discussion of the stability of the tiger/panther compared to Shermans etc., if you manage to watch the published videos, you will see how there is a very ugly bug that gives the feeling of being on top of a magnitude 9 earthquake. This does not happen on all terrains, however it does happen and is very annoying.
So first of all it’s a bug that needs fixing, the rest was feedback.
Just uploading videos i have of wobble so you can see
more to follow will upload Vons as well
Be more helpful if each vehicle and position is identified as well if using magnification or not (binocs, gunsight, periscope). Anything magnified should be practically unusable when moving offroad.
Leaving aside that some tanks can do that and others can’t, a video above shows the default driver position. And this video at the link below instead shows the default position of the unbuttoned commander. In both of them you can clearly see the bug described above and where perhaps the allied tanks also have it?
Not always been this way, if i was to pick a point it was after the predictor code change, Xoom captured it on a live stream, its like the tracks clip the ground a bit. Regarding zoomed in view its not the motion, thats what it is and as you say is correct, its the wobble or vibration you can see if that makes sense, like standing on a wobble plate?
I hear you. Just don’t know anything that changed in “first person” mode. Predictor stuff doesn’t touch any first person stuff. It only communicates what you are doing to everyone else that can see you.
Can’t be 100% on timing so that might be red herring, if i were to guess the tracks or wheels clip into the ground the only other thing its like in game is when the atgs and aaa shoot then get the shakes as well and i think thats when the legs on the atg or aaa clip the ground a bit from shooting. i don’t know how the game handles stuff on top of the ground to stop it sinking under i do remember the old days when you sometimes fell through the ground and would just keep falling or you could go through holes in the ground and fly under hehe
