game is unplayable since patch#635

I installed the patch today. Now, it is unplayable. Buildings are light green, inside buildings are lighter with purple shades. Outside, i cannot see any players or machines. Everything is black to the horizon. zero trees or bushes.
I cannot see anything. I heard through the chatter that this will not be fixed on your end but that everyone with a PC and integrated card will have to buy a new card and have it installed. My expense!
if this is the case, I would like to know so I can cancel my subscription and move onto something else that is playable.

Just for “grins”, have you tried turning off the water shaders in the video preferences to see if that changes anything? I don’t think it will, but it’s worth a shot to see if it makes a difference.

If it doesn’t change anything,, and you have downloaded and installed the latest officially recommended graphics drivers for your PC and nothing changes, it is an indication that the graphics chip your machine is currently trying to utilize is just not set up to handle the new shader standards we are utilizing.

IF this is the case, there is no fix expected within the next week due to the thanksgiving holiday.

Following that I will be asking if it would be possible (and economically feasible) to add a setting in the settings like the aforementioned water shader toggle mentioned above for lower spec machines that cannot manage the new graphics shaders properly. Being that there is already one example of this in the game, it doesn’t seem like an impossible request. But no guarantees. Best I can share with you at this point.

Try reading the article at the following link. same problem here laptop internal graphics, acer aspir a5 i7 internal intel uhd.. have a life membership.. been here forever.. please fix this ∗∗∗∗ ill read on but im not buying a new computer any time soon.. unplayable

@wdeath We are working on this issue as it affects a few players . Sorry for the time it is taking but we will get it fixed as soon as physicaly possible .

The guy that started this thread (keifer27)was able to follow the instructions on the link provided above and has corrected the issue. I saw where you posted Acer aspir A5, but that is only providing possible CPU’s that you have already shared as an I7 of some sort. Can you provide a full model number to see if that gives any other clues? Can you meet with someone on google remote desktop/zoom to see if they can help or at least determine why not?

intel driver suport assistant reports all avail updates are installed…option 5 seems like not an option for my system my panel appears to be option 3

Sorry I asked you to report that again. Missed it from up above. From what I can tell, that laptop doesnt have a “discreet” GPU and relies soley on its inegrated graphics chip that isnt stout enough to handle the new graphics with everything going through shaders. If so, that means there isnt anything you can do to fix it. However, once our primary software engineer gets back from Thanksgiving holiday, we will be investigating an option in settings where folks in your predicament can toggle the shaders off and run the program as you used to be able to. Technically, we don’t support integrated graphics specifically because of these kinds of issues. Some can handle the newer technologies, some cant. But if we can make it workable, we’ll try. No guarantees, My apologies. Thats the best I can give you.

Please test this patch, it’s a Public Beta (so check your directory - will not work on Campaign server). Let us know if this fixed it.
